Co-founder of the Arab Economists in Europe and North America network (AReena). We are a network of Arab Ph.D. economists studying and working in North America and Europe. We are working together to:

1. Increase the pipeline of Arab students into Economics Ph.D. programs in North America and Europe 

2. Support/mentor current Arab students in Economics Ph.D. programs in North America and Europe

3. Support/mentor early career Arab Ph.D. economists

4. Facilitate networking among more senior Arab Ph.D. economists

Co-chair of the Economic Demography Workshop (EDW).  The workshop takes place annually on the first day of the Annual Meeting of the Population Association of America. The EDW provides an opportunity for the detailed presentation of 8-9 research papers on topics in economic demography.

Mentoring graduate students through the committee on the Status of LGBTQ+ Individuals in the Economics Profession (CSQIE).
